Residential lockout in Adams Morgan

This is emergency work. Call (202) 900-5625. It is outside the grand opening discount.

Locked out on a Columbia Road stoop

Most house lockouts here are painted brick rowhouses a few steps above a narrow sidewalk. Meters on Columbia Road and along 18th Street do not leave a place to wait in a car, and there is no driveway. The showroom is on this street, so the visit usually starts on foot. The Red Line stop at Woodley Park is uphill. Buses on Columbia Road and 16th Street are the easier way in if you are coming from farther uptown.

On this visit

On a Columbia Road stoop the painted brick holds heat, and a brass knocker often sits above a lock that was changed during a basement conversion. Several brick houses on the block look the same, so tell us the color of the tile on the front step and we will find the right door.

Frequent questions

Where do I stand while I wait?

Stay on the stoop or step into a shop. Call (202) 900-5625 with the door color and the nearest cross street.

Can you come from across town?

The shop is in this neighborhood. You are not waiting on a truck from the suburbs.
