Neighborhood retail on the avenue
The commercial work is the Connecticut Avenue strip: restaurants, clinics, and small offices. The Red Line serves the strip. Side streets are residential permits. A legal meter on the avenue is the short stop.
On this visit
Clinic doors on Connecticut Avenue have a privacy thumbturn on an interior room that staff mistake for the street lock. Say whether you are on the sidewalk or in the waiting room. Those are different authorizations.
