Columbia Heights lockouts split in two. One is a resident stuck at a 14th Street lobby. The other is a unit door inside a building that sits over a shop. The Green and Yellow Line station is the center of the neighborhood, Street parking is thin. The retail garages are the realistic place to leave a van.
On this visit
Fourteenth Street lobbies hide a second door behind the glass, and the resident is sometimes stuck between them with the intercom on the wrong side. Tell us if you can see the mailroom. That detail separates a vestibule trap from a unit bolt.

I am in the garage under the building. Is that a house call?
Say so when you call. A garage gate, a lobby, and a unit door are three different jobs.
How far is the shop?
About a mile east of Columbia Road. Off-peak it is a short ride. Rush hour on 14th Street is slower.
