Tall doors around the circle
Dupont installs are tall townhouse doors. Many already have a mortise lock, and a bored deadbolt is not always the right addition. The Metro is under the circle. Parking is a garage.
On this visit
Dupont doors with a brass mail slot in the lock zone cannot take a standard bore. We relocate the plan or we decline. The slot stays. The door is not a practice piece.
Frequent questions
I want a deadbolt above the existing handle. Is that automatic?
Not on these doors. We look first. Some should keep a mortise and skip the extra hole.
Can I see finishes before you come?
Yes, at the Adams Morgan showroom, a short ride north of the circle.
