Residential lockout in Mount Pleasant

This is emergency work. Call (202) 900-5625. It is outside the grand opening discount.

Hillside houses with original doors

Mount Pleasant is a steep walk north of the showroom. Brick rowhouses still have many original front doors, and the commercial strip on Mount Pleasant Street is small shops rather than towers. Parking is a resident-permit problem. The bus toward Adams Morgan or Columbia Heights is often faster than circling for a curb space.

On this visit

Lamont and Kilbourne entries sit on uneven stone. A lockout here is frequently a door that dropped a quarter inch after the last rain, with the key still in a coat on the radiator just inside. We bring a light for those dark stair halls.

Frequent questions

The door was fine this morning and now it sticks. Is that a lockout?

Call it in as a stuck door. We bring what we need to ease the slab, not only tools for a lost key.

Is there Metro nearby?

There is no station in the neighborhood. Use the bus, or walk down toward Columbia Road.
