New slabs in old Shaw frames
Shaw installs often land on a replacement slab in an older opening. The frame is the unknown. U Street transit is nearby. Daytime parking is easier than a dinner-hour arrival.
On this visit
Shaw remodel slabs sometimes have a pre-bore that misses the old jamb by half an inch. We move the strike rather than the hole when the slab is already finished. The alley door is measured separately.

The contractor bored the hole off center. Can you still install?
Sometimes, by moving the strike. If the bore is unusable, we say so before we mount the lock.
