Shaw strikes are restaurant and small-lobby frames. Grease, night traffic, and a light aluminum stile are the conditions. We install in the afternoon. U Street transit is nearby.
On this visit
Shaw aluminum stiles on restaurant doors are thin. The strike has to match. We do the cut before service, with the latch realigned so the host is not slamming the door all night to relock it.

The host stand buzzer is sticky. Do we need a new intercom?
Not always. The strike and the power are the usual faults. We test them before we sell a panel.
When is a good time?
Before dinner service, so we are not cutting a frame in a full room.
