Apartments and hotel entries near the park
Woodley Park mixes apartment houses and hotel doors along Calvert Street. Weekend zoo traffic clogs the roads around the park. The Red Line station is in the neighborhood, which helps you, and it also means the curb is full of drop-offs. Building garages are the dependable place to stage a van.
On this visit
Calvert Street apartments stack a brass unit lock above a worn vestibule plate. If you are outside the vestibule, say whether the zoo-day crowds are at your back. We will not work in the hotel porte-cochere.
Frequent questions
I am at a hotel. Can you open the room?
Only if the hotel asks us to. Otherwise call the front office of that hotel.
How long from the shop?
Usually a few minutes west. Zoo weekends take longer because the park roads stop moving.
