The Wheaton devices we are called for are usually a mall-edge leaf whose top rod has dropped, or a wider shop door on Georgia Avenue that was given a residential push pad. An escort is required inside the concourse. A house door on a side street almost never needs a panic bar, and we will say so.

Wheaton mall doors with a hanging rod need a repair, not a new leaf, until we see otherwise. Avenue shops need a narrower device. We bring the right one only if you told us which door.
