Garden apartments and avenue houses
Wheaton is about eight miles north, at the eastern end of the Red Line. Garden apartments, mall-edge buildings, and houses spread off Georgia Avenue. The Metro garage and the mall lots are where a van can sit. The drive from Adams Morgan is typically Avenue traffic, not the neighborhood streets, is what adds time.
On this visit
Wheaton garden courts label buildings with letters that GPS drops. Read the letter off the stair plaque. A lockout at building F is not solved by meeting at the mall fountain.
Frequent questions
The building door works and my unit does not. Is that still a lockout?
Yes. Say the unit cylinder failed. We will not spend the visit on the vestibule.
Where will you park?
At the Metro garage, a mall lot, or a legal curb. We will not stop on Georgia Avenue.
