Alexandria commercial work splits between Old Town storefronts and newer offices near Potomac Yard. King Street Metro is the transit spine. Old Town parking is a garage.
On this visit
King Street shops have a transom that looks operable and is painted shut. We will not use it as an entry. If the only working hardware is a rim lock low on the stile, photograph that lock.

The glass has a crack at the lock. Will you still open it?
We will look. If opening it risks the glass, we stop and talk about a temporary secure, not a harder pry.
Can you meet at a garage instead of on King Street?
Yes. Name the garage. The curb on King Street is not a work zone.
