Carriage-door cylinders and yard unit pins
An Alexandria rekey is either a tall carriage-door cylinder on a side court off Prince or Duke, or a stack of apartment pins in a newer block where every key is still on a builder bow. We pull the cylinder, change the pins, and hand you a counted set. A painted curb is not part of the work.
On this visit
Carriage doors in Old Town are tall and use a different backset from the front. Measure is on site. A rekey does not include cutting a new mortise. Potomac Yard apartment cylinders are a separate pile of keys.

The door is original. Can you still change the keys?
Yes. Changing the pins does not require a new hole.
Where should we meet in Old Town?
At the house, with a garage or a legal space already in mind. We will not circle King Street with a van.
