Lobby closers and shop doors on 14th
Columbia Heights closers are lobby doors and ground-floor shops. Bike lanes and a crowded sidewalk mean a door cannot sweep into the right of way at full speed. Garages and the Green and Yellow Line are the arrival.
On this visit
Lobby glass on 14th Street is tall and light. A closer borrowed from a stair will slam it. We size a body for that leaf and we do not reuse the stair closer as a donor.
Frequent questions
The lobby door hits people. Is that the closer?
Often yes. We adjust backcheck and sweep before we replace anything.
How far is the trip?
About a mile. Ten to twenty minutes from the showroom.
