Electronics on a formal door
Dupont smart locks have to live on tall, often mortise-prepped doors. A bored keypad can look wrong and weaken a stile. The Metro is under the circle. Parking is a garage.
On this visit
Thick masonry on a Dupont townhouse plus a mortise prep means a bored Wi-Fi kit is the wrong shape. We fit a mortise trim if the door deserves it. The app is secondary to the prep.
Frequent questions
I bought a lock online. Will you install whatever arrives?
Only if it fits this door. Bring it, or a photo of the model, before the appointment.
Can I compare trims in person?
Yes. The showroom is a short ride north, in Adams Morgan.
