Ultraloq fingerprint and keypad locks fitted, then enrolled
Ultraloq service checks the bore, enrolls fingerprints, sets a manager code, and keeps a mechanical key. A dirty reader, no manager code, weak batteries from the factory package, and an incompatible thickness are handled before the app is celebrated. The fit limits and the backup key are the constraints.
Use this page when the lock is an Ultraloq, not a generic keypad. August, Level, and Yale do not share its enrollment steps. Bring the door's approximate thickness and say if a manager and a daily user need different codes.
A manager code, dirty readers, and thickness that is actually compatible
Bore check, fingerprint enrollment, a manager code, and a key are the visit. Software support for your phone a year from now is not. We do not leave the lock with only one fingerprint and no manager code, because the first finger cut or the first phone swap becomes a lockout.
Exterior readers collect dirt and hand lotion. We show how that model is cleaned without flooding the sensor. Thick doors that sit outside the fit range are refused even if the bore diameter looks right. The key is tested in the cylinder, not left in the envelope.
Frequent questions
Why set a manager code in addition to a fingerprint?
The manager code is how you add the next person when the enrolled finger is not available. A lock with only one fingerprint is a lock with one point of failure. The manager code stays with you.
What thickness makes an Ultraloq a bad match?
Anything outside that model's published range, including paint that pushes a borderline door over the limit. We measure. A 'close' door gets a different lock, not a forced spindle.
How should the fingerprint reader be cleaned?
The way that model allows, usually a dry wipe. Solvents and flooded glass ruin the sensor. We show the wipe once. We do not sell a coating.
Do you keep the fingerprints?
No. They live on the lock you control. We enroll a test and make sure you can delete it. We do not store a copy.
