Old storefronts and new lobby doors
Alexandria closers are King Street storefronts and newer lobby doors near Potomac Yard. Old frames are out of square. Garages beat circling for a meter.
On this visit
King Street frames are out of square, so a closer cranked harder only bends the arm. We set what the frame allows and we name the frame as the next repair if the door still stands proud.
Frequent questions
Our old door slams and the closer arm is bent. Replace or repair?
Usually replace the closer, then see if the frame still needs work. A bent arm is already done.
Where do you park in Old Town?
A garage. We will not adjust a door while double-parked on King Street.
