Restricted cylinders in old doors
Alexandria high-security work is a cylinder upgrade on an Old Town door or a newer unit near Potomac Yard. The old door should not be bored for fashion. Garages are the park.
On this visit
Old Town cylinders are swapped in the existing mortise so the stile stays whole. Alley leaves are included when they take a key. The finish is matched to the old brass as closely as the keyway allows.
Frequent questions
Can you match the old brass finish?
Often, closely. We look at the door before we order the cylinder.
How do I stop the carpenter from copying a key?
Do not give them one. If they must have access, we cut it against the card and you watch it come back.
